The "Guitalele" or "Guitarlele" is a cross between a Ukulele and a Guitar
A "Guitalele" is a 6-string guitar-ukulele "hybrid" that is a cross between a classical guitar and a tenor or baritone ukulele. The guitalele combines the portability of a ukulele, due to its small size, with the six single strings and resultant chord possibilities of a classical guitar.
The articles provided here are:
- Guitalele - WIKIPEDIA - an article describing the "instrument".
- Requinto - WIKIPEDIA - is it actually a "Reqinto Guitar" (which is tuned the same as a Guitalele)?.
(The "Requinto Guitar" is described in this aricle as being about 21" (54 cm) long...ours is 31" long. For comparison: our Tenor Ukulele is 26" long, the popular Yamaha GL-1 Guitalele is 27", and our full-size guitar is 38".)
