FHSWNOTE - Form for Display and Update of Notes
This is the form that is displayed when you click the "Notes" button on forms FHSWUPDT, FHSWSPSE, FHSWADRS or FHSWMISC, or the "Comments" button on FHSWEVNT.
The option area has the following buttons:
- Save - which causes the content of the text box to be saved in "Comment" records in the .OTH dataset that is part of the family file. Each comment record will contain 39 characters of text from the text box.
- RETURN - which closes form FHSWNOTE and returns to the calling form. If there are unsaved changes to the content of the text box then a message will be displayed to confirm that it is okay to close the form and lose the changes.
In addition, the option area contains two number fields. The second number on the line indicates the number of Comment records of the .OTH dataset that would be required to contain the full content of the text box. The first number indicates the sequence number of the record that would contain the text where the cursor is located.
The form is relocatable (place the cursor in the header area, press and hold the left mouse button and drag the form to the area that you want) and resizable (place the cursor on a boundary line or corner, click and hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to change the size). The changed location and size will be remembered for future use when you close the form.
